Client Challenge
Xtra Guns is a Federally Compliant, B.A.T.F.E. registered FFL holder, specializing in completing background checks for the lawful transfer of firearms. As a "side business" the challenge was to add legitimacy to this home-based business.
A mobile-first approach was applied to the design process. Client requirements were not extensive: professional, efficient presentation and ease-of-use, with a section to help voters contact their elected representatives.
This was accomplished with a one-page design for accelerated navigation and solid performance regardless of platform or device.

- Captcha can be a fragile element, which can cause as many user issues as it attempts to solve

Efficient navigation
Use of a "single page" layout allows for fast and efficient on-page navigation. Client needs in terms of content are modest. No need for extra pages and excessive clicking and unnecessary page loads.
